There are two or three stages of orthodontic treatment. The first stage is referred to as an active corrective stage. This stage can be made up of one or more phases, depending on the severity of the case. The second stage is knows as a retention stage.

Based on your initial examination, our doctor will recommend a treatment plan that includes the number of phases for the active corrective stage. The treatment plan will vary a lot depending on the number of primary or “baby” teeth the patient has.
